Assessment is a very important part of teaching, and one that I am continuing to learn about. There are all types of assessment, listening to the students, tests, homework, and projects. We had to work with a struggling reader this semester, and we had to assess his grade level, strengths and weaknesses, and how we might help him. It was a challenging and rewarding experience.
